Billy Farmer

Billy Farmer, a North Carolina native, began to work as an artist after retiring from a successful career as a band director and music teacher.

Billy works principally in watercolor but also enjoys acrylic, pastels and charcoals. Whatever his medium, his pieces are characterized by thoughtful, sensitive handling and mastery of color and design. The focus of his paintings is often landscapes.

Billy graduated from Barton College and subsequently studied at North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Berkley College of Music.
